Making It Count!
The Penn Center for Research on Coronavirus and Other Emerging Pathogens hosted their first symposium, titled “The Coronavirus Outbreak” on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 11am to 5pm. The symposium featured insights on coronaviruses from Penn experts.
Videos from the symposium are now available online.
In lieu of the CVI Seminar Series this Spring, the Penn Cardiovascular Institute will host a Core Workshop Series. This will be a 3 part series in which the Metabolomics Core, iPSC Core, and Mouse Cardiac Phenotyping Core will each present to you their core offerings and examples of how they can provide service to you. The Data Science Fellowship Program has announced that they are moving their Spring 2020 Cohort to an online format. The early application deadline is tomorrow, April 3, 2020 and the regular deadline is May 2, 2020. See details below!
Program: The Data Incubator is an intensive 8 week fellowship that prepares masters students, PhDs, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields seeking industry careers as data scientists. The program is free for Fellows and supported by sponsorships from hundreds of employers across multiple industries. In response to the overwhelming interest in our earlier sessions, we will be holding another fellowship.
Who Should Apply: Anyone who has already obtained a masters or PhD degree or who is within one year of graduating with a masters or PhD is welcome to apply. Applications from international students are welcome.
