2021 Penn Healthcare Case Competition

Save the date!

Are you a life scientist interested in consulting, business, or entrepreneurship? Do you wonder how game changing decisions are made about our innovative discoveries once they leave the lab? 

Penn Biotech Group (PBG) and Penn Graduate Consulting Club (PGCC) will be hosting our second annual Penn Healthcare Case Competition on November 13, 2021. This event will provide graduate students and postdocs the exciting opportunity to solve a real-world healthcare problem in teams of 4-6 members, with up to 2 MBA students per team. You will also be able to meet and engage with corporate leaders from top-tier healthcare, biotechnology, consulting, and venture capital firms who will serve as judges. All graduate students and postdocs are welcome to apply. No prior business experience is necessary. Cash prizes will be given to the top three teams, with the first-place team receiving $4,000!

Please submit the Interest & Networking Coffee Chat Registration Form, if you are interested in participating. Registering for our Coffee Chat sessions gives you the opportunity to meet other participants who are looking for team members. We will then contact you with more details regarding the Case Competition.

Penn Graduate Consulting Club Kickoff

Come join us on Thursday, September 5th, 5:30-6:30 PM in Jon M. Huntsman Hall (room 255) to learn about management consulting as a career path and upcoming PGCC events made to help propel your career.

We are also excited to feature Sudhir Kondisetty, Principal in Risk Advisory Services at RSM. Sudhir will be sharing his first hand account on what it’s like to work at RSM, and his personal journey to success in consulting.

Penn Graduate Consulting Club (PGCC) – Case Workshop

Penn Graduate Consulting Club (PGCC) Executive Board – Call for Applications

The Penn Graduate Consulting Club (PGCC) is now recruiting e-board members. They invite all non-MBA graduate students and post-doctoral researchers to apply to the PGCC e-board.

The mission of PGCC is to provide non-MBA graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with opportunities to learn about consulting careers and to prepare for careers in consulting. The 2019-2020 PGCC e-board will set the agenda for the upcoming year and will host several events to help members connect with the consulting world, including the annual PGCC Case Competition, professional workshops, information sessions, social events, and pro bono consulting projects. If you have ideas about how to better serve the PGCC community, they strongly encourage you to apply to be on the e-board!

To see details about e-board roles and responsibilities, see the PGCC website. To apply for an e-board position, please fill out this form by Sunday June 9th, 11:59PM EST. You will need to attach your resume and a one-page cover letter to your application.

The cover letter should address the following:  1) Your personal background and background in consulting; 2) Why you are interested in the position; 3) Why you are capable and suitable for this position; 4) Your prior experience in other student clubs and any other information you want to share.

The Penn Graduate Consulting Club (PGCC) – 6th Annual Case Competition

The Penn Graduate Consulting Club (PGCC) is hosting its 6th annual case competition on Friday April 26th at Jon M. Huntsman Hall of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. The case competition is a great opportunity to use your analytical skills to solve a business problem.

Applications are now open. You must apply as a team with 3-5 members. If you do not have a full team, you may list your information in this sheet and search for other team members. Once you have successfully formed a team, use the application link to apply.

The deadline for applications is Sunday April 14th 11:59 PM EST. For more information on the case competition, please see the PGCC website, and to stay up to date on PGCC events, please subscribe to their mailing list.
