Career Services is partnering with The Graduate Student Center and GAPSA for this weeklong set of career related programs hosted exclusively for graduate students and postdocs as they explore their career and professional interests.

Virtual programs include:

Faculty Job Search Camp

If you are or will be on a faculty job market, join Penn Career Services for our Faculty Job Search Prep Camp, done in partnership with the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) and the Grad Center. Through this program we are seeking to empower doctoral student and postdocs with the resources, information, and support to navigate the academic job market. It is open to doctoral students and postdocs from all disciplines interested in faculty roles. This year the program will run from August 14-August 22 and consist of a mix of virtual and in-person sessions. Doctoral Career Development Camp

Penn Career Services is excited to announce the launch of Doctoral Career Development Camp (DCDC) — a multi-week program that centers the career and professional development of doctoral students. It is open to doctoral students and postdocs from all disciplines. This year the program will run from June 5-14 and consist of all virtual sessions.

Throughout the program, attendees will have access to a variety of resources, including workshops, panels, and information sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and explore a wide range of career paths. Whether you are just beginning your doctoral/postdoc journey or are nearing completion, this program is a valuable opportunity to invest in your future and gain the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve your career goals.

Expanded Job Search Prep Camp for Doctoral Students & Postdocs

6-10th June, 2022

We invite all doctoral students and postdocs at Penn to a series of virtual workshops and recruiter panel discussions in June to learn about approaches to exploring a diversity of career options beyond the faculty path. This series of programs covers the full spectrum of the job search process, from exploration to negotiation, and can provide you with a solid foundation for your career development next steps – no matter where you are in the process.

All of the virtual workshops will be recorded, and will be posted on the Penn Career Services YouTube channel after the series. The panel discussions will also be virtual, but will not be recorded, and so please try to make room on your schedule for these events if you are interested in the topics.
