The Penn Summer Biomedical Research Academy is a non-credit program for high school students interested in learning more about biomedical research through lectures, faculty research talks, lab experiments, and small group investigations. They are looking for candidates for a new outreach position, which will help the program in four phases: recruitment, application support, pre-academy support, and academy support. The position will take place from early March – August.

Biogen’s two-year PhD fellowship in Worldwide Medical (WWM) provides recent doctoral graduates a hands-on opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Medical Affairs and the pharmaceutical industry within the walls of a cutting-edge biotech as an accelerated and practical introduction to a career in medical affairs.

The first year will include a series of four, 3-month long rotational experiences, followed by a year spent in a chosen area of concentration within WWM to prepare for a continued career in the biopharmaceutical industry. The fellowship enrolls a new cohort annually in June.

The School of Medicine is searching for a pair of interns for Summer 2022 to help further design a cross-program initiative for trainee groups such as BGS, Masters and Certificates programs, Medical Student Trainees, and Undergraduate Medical Education. Interns will be mentored by program representatives and last year’s intern of the pilot program, Mau Porco. The 8VC Bio-IT Fellowship is a remote, 3-month paid program for graduate students to work closely with the investment team at 8VC to identify new investment and company creation opportunities.
