The main focus of the Sun lab is to delineate the physiological significance and underlying molecular mechanism of endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated protein degradation (ERAD) machinery in health and disease, with special focus on the regulation of liver homeostasis.
Our research focuses on identifying therapeutic strategies for the treatment of colorectal cancer. We are focused on targeting the unique vulnerabilities of cancer cells when they are in the drug tolerant state. Genetics, proteomics, transcriptomics, bioinformatics, Genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 screening, biochemistry and molecular analyses of human cancer cells, mouse models and primary samples (including organoid culures) are used for our studies.
This postdoctoral project is a collaboration between a Drosophila neurogenetics lab and a biophysics trafficking lab. We are seeking a scholar to use multiple approaches including super-resolution imaging to study the transport and regulation of organelles in vivo, in neurons that are regenerating after injury.
We are seeking postdocs to study the mechanisms of genome instability, DNA repair and recombination. Our research interests range from the fundamental basic molecular mechanisms of DNA repair, recombination and replication in model organisms and human to diverse clinical applications including cancer therapeutics.

Senior Research Investigator, Oncology Discovery
Job Summary (Primary function)
Incyte Discovery is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Cancer Biologist to play a key role in advancing an innovative Oncology / Immuno-Oncology drug discovery pipeline. The successful candidate will support the identification and validation of novel cancer targets and have the opportunity to lead small molecule drug discovery programs. S/he is expected to be knowledgeable in the application of cutting-edge molecular, cellular, genetic and pharmacological techniques to develop preclinical disease models. Using a broad range of innovative approaches, s/he is expected to provide deep mechanistic understanding of the target biology and determine the effects of investigational agents. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to support current clinical stage development programs and to work with external collaborators to advance the Discovery pipeline. The successful candidate is expected to be a team player excited to work in multidisciplinary project teams.
