Research Investigator/Sr. Research Investigator, Antibody Pharmacology

This individual will work as part of antibody pharmacology team focusing on in vivo target validation and proof of concept, as well as novel target identification. A successful candidate will be able to utilize the appropriate syngeneic and humanized mouse models to provide pharmacological insight into mechanism of action of various biologics. The candidate should also have experience in developing in vitro and ex vivo assays and a deep knowledge of technologies commonly used to assess immune endpoints.

Job Responsibilities
– Identify, design, and utilize the appropriate in vivo model systems to demonstrate proof of concept and address key biological questions
– Design and execute in vitro experiments to determine the functional effect(s) of candidate target activation/inhibition by using a variety of assays to interrogate immune end-points
– Collaborate with other functional groups within drug discovery to achieve key goals
– Research potential new antibody targets and present to management for consideration as early discovery programs
– Effectively coordinate with CRO or external collaboration to evaluate potential clinical candidates
– Generate written reports and powerpoint presentations periodically

Minimum Requirements
– Ph.D. in Immunology, Pharmacology, or related field
– Post-doctoral experience in a relevant field
– Pharmaceutical or biotech experience preferred, but not required
– Experience with in vivo models of cancer
– Expertise in a variety of immunological assays including flow cytometry, functional and molecular assays
– Excellent communication skills and a solid publication record
