We are excited to share our chapter’s first outreach opportunity for this semester – Science Education Academy (SEA)! SEA is a non-profit STEM program whose aim is to support elementary students with hands-on experience with scientific method and inquiry. http://scienceeducationacademy.com/about/
The fall program is focused on Earth Sciences. SEA occurs every Saturday from October 19th to November 23rd. We are looking for volunteers to guide elementary students through organized science activities for at least TWO Saturdays, from 9am – 12pm. Additionally, volunteers will need to undergo a Pennsylvania criminal background check before beginning of the session.
SACNAS will provide transportation to and from SEA (51st & Pine) throughout the fall course.
If you are interested in participating in this exciting partnership, please fill out this google form and we will contact you shortly to get you started on background checks.
