NCBI Tools and Databases for Bioinformatics workshop

If you are interested in learning about the types of resources NCBI –home to Pubmed– offers in bioinformatics, then come to my NCBI tools and databases workshop that is being held in the training lab (G3) at the Biomedical Library on November 19 at noon.

The primary goal of this one hour workshop is to provide an introduction to the various databases and tools that are available through NCBI. In addition to an overview, I will be exhibiting demos on a select few tools and databases.

Introduction to BioCyc workshop​

Come learn to work with BioCyc: a collection of Pathway Genome Databases (PGDBs) that provides information on genomes and metabolic pathways for thousands of organisms.

This one hour workshop will provide an introduction to BioCyc and showcase the various features BioCyc supports. In addition, there will be an interactive demo that complements the overview on BioCyc.
