Laboratory of Dr. Anna Pluciennik
Start Date- As soon as possible
Salary – commensurate with postdoctoral years

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow for the laboratory of Dr. Anna Pluciennik in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Thomas Jefferson University.  Dr. Pluciennik’s laboratory uses cross-disciplinary approaches to study the involvement of DNA repair systems in triplet repeat instability in relationship to neurodegeneration. A newly funded project to investigate the role of DNA repair systems in Huntington’s disease pathophysiology using biochemical and cell biology systems will provide robust training and broad opportunities for a productive fellowship in an exciting and impactful area of research.

Competitive candidates will have a recent PhD, and experience in molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Our research focuses on identifying therapeutic strategies for the treatment of colorectal cancer. We are focused on targeting the unique vulnerabilities of cancer cells when they are in the drug tolerant state. Genetics, proteomics, transcriptomics, bioinformatics, Genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 screening, biochemistry and molecular analyses of human cancer cells, mouse models and primary samples (including organoid culures) are used for our studies.
