This postdoctoral project is a collaboration between a Drosophila neurogenetics lab and a biophysics trafficking lab. We are seeking a scholar to use multiple approaches including super-resolution imaging to study the transport and regulation of organelles in vivo, in neurons that are regenerating after injury.
Career: Research (academic)
Post Doctoral Fellow – Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine
We are seeking postdocs to study the mechanisms of genome instability, DNA repair and recombination. Our research interests range from the fundamental basic molecular mechanisms of DNA repair, recombination and replication in model organisms and human to diverse clinical applications including cancer therapeutics.
Faculty Job Search Prep Camp from August 9 – 12, 2021
If you’re planning to apply for faculty jobs, either in this upcoming cycle or in the future, join Penn Career Services for this four-day Faculty Job Search Prep Camp to get a head start on planning your job search. Through workshop presentations and faculty and alumni panels, we’ll help you understand how you can best prepare for each step of the process, from assessing your readiness to go on the faculty job market and crafting application materials to preparing for interviews and negotiating offers. Throughout the week of August 9th, Faculty Job Search Prep Camp attendees are encouraged to make a virtual one-on-one appointment via Handshake with a Career Services advisor on Friday, August 13th to discuss a faculty job search document that you’d like feedback on. Check Handshake for all the times available for appointments!

Post Doctoral Fellow – Genetics/Neurodegenerative diseases, Columbia University Medical Center
A postdoctoral research scientist is immediately available to study Biomarkers of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) in Down Syndrome. This project will generate genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic, imaging (MRI and PET), neuropsychological data, and AD status
Post Doctoral Fellow – Cardiovascular Signal Transduction, Harvard Medical School
Seeking a postdoc with a background in cellular imaging and redox biochemistry to pursue basic research in signal transduction in cardiovascular cells and tissues using chemogenetic approaches and state-of-the-art biosensors.
Post Doctoral Fellow – Nephrology/Cell Biology, University of Pittsburgh
Our lab studies how the kidney proximal tubule (PT) recovers filtered proteins in normal and diseased states. We use a variety of basic molecular, imaging, biochemical, and computational approaches to study PT function in a highly differentiated cell culture model and in mouse models of disease.
