Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments to support discovery and preclinical development for drug candidates
- Develop new assays to evaluate drug candidates as needed
- Document and present results for study reports, conferences, manuscripts, and regulatory submissions
- Work closely with internal and external collaborators to ensure studies are executed to meet company goals and timelines and in alignment with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to strategy and development plans for translation from discovery to the clinic
- Train and mentor junior scientists and research associates
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline with 0-5 years additional experience required
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology and protein techniques including, but not limited to, qPCR, RT-qPCR, ELISAs, Western blots required
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment required
- Experience in neuroscience and preclinical models required
- Experience in molecular biology or nucleic acids preferred
- Experience in industry or drug development desired
