DBEI/CCEB COVID-19 Population Sciences Journal Club virtual session

DBEI: Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics

The PSOM community is invited to join the next COVID-19 Population Sciences Journal Club virtual session.

Michael Z. Levy, PhD and Arman Oganisian, PhD candidate in Biostatistics, will lead a discussion of Estimating the number of infections and the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions on COVID-19 in 11 European countries this Wednesday, April 15th 9:00-10:00AM EST.

The Data Incubator’s Summer 2020 Fellowship (Virtual!)

The Data Incubator Reviews | Course Report

The Data Science Fellowship Program has announced that they are moving their Spring 2020 Cohort to an online format. The early application deadline is tomorrow, April 3, 2020 and the regular deadline is May 2, 2020. See details below!

Program: The Data Incubator is an intensive 8 week fellowship that prepares masters students, PhDs, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields seeking industry careers as data scientists. The program is free for Fellows and supported by sponsorships from hundreds of employers across multiple industries. In response to the overwhelming interest in our earlier sessions, we will be holding another fellowship.

Who Should Apply: Anyone who has already obtained a masters or PhD degree or who is within one year of graduating with a masters or PhD is welcome to apply. Applications from international students are welcome.

The MBA Fund is thrilled to announce its second annual Startup Pitch Day in partnership with the investors behind Lyft, DoorDash, AngelList and more.

Applications are due April 5, 2020. Virtual interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.

They will be giving away $75,000.
