About the Fellowship:
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, hard-working individuals to gain valuable experience in life sciences consulting, as part of our business development practice, where we support biotech and pharma clients in asset search/scouting, market and competitive landscape assessments, asset valuations and due diligence, and
transactional support (in-licensing and out-licensing). This is a paid, part-time position with the opportunity to work remotely, with a highly flexible work schedule to fit around your availability and educational commitments.
You will be required to conduct intensive desk research online and in pharma/biotech industry-standard business databases. You will draw upon your scientific training and expertise to quickly gather information and synthesize scientific data in order to acquire a strong working knowledge on multiple therapeutic areas and evaluate product candidates
in preclinical and clinical development.
Through this Fellowship, you will have exposure to some of the most exciting, cutting edge science that is being developed by the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, and will gain knowledge on key aspects of the drug development process and business development in the life sciences industry.

TL1/T32 Slots Available for Certificate in Regulatory Science

ITMAT Education – TL1/T32 Slots Available for Certificate in Regulatory Science
Deadline: March 6, 2020

ITMAT Education’s Certificate in Regulatory Science provides PhD students with training to build upon their scientific expertise and prepares them to understand regulatory strategy, the execution of clinical trials, and approaches to translate early discoveries and preclinical investigations into therapeutics. This program is designed for PhD students who wish to pursue regulatory science careers in academia, the pharmaceutical & biotechnology industry, consulting and legal industries, and federal agencies.

The certificate includes a one-year engagement in a regulatory science research project (a new research project or as an additional aim to research currently being conducted) and four courses. TL1 appointees will receive one year of funding including a stipend per NIH policy and tuition funding to cover the cost of the certificate. http://www.itmat.upenn.edu/CertificateinRegulatoryScience.html

Healthcare Startup Networking Event

PennHealthX and the Wharton Health Care Club will be hosting a Healthcare Startup Networking event focused on healthcare entrepreneurship. This event will be held Mon, October 28th at 6 PM in Hunstman hall (room TBD). We hope to connect motivated founders looking to drive medical innovation with students across different schools. Everyone is welcome!

Space will be available for posters and presentations, though neither is required. Students in attendance will have a variety of research, medicine, consulting, banking, and education and represent different schools across campus. We are creating an environment where potential team members can meet to tackle these projects.
